We visited Italy for the first time together in 2012. We returned 10 years later for a two month visit and returned to some places we previously stayed and explored Italia at a much slower pace than our previous two week north to south blitz and then returned twice in 2025: once on a stopover in Rome and later that year for a visit to Lombardy and San Remo in Liguria and a third visit in Venice after our tour of Greece. We’ve now visited about a third of Italy’s regions.
