During our summer 2022 trip to Ireland, we spent close to a week in Northern Ireland. We began in Belfast, beautiful and conflicted, with its rich history including a “Troubles Tour” and the Titanic Museum. It amazed us to stay in an area which really felt like part of the UK and tour parts of the city which really really did not.

From Belfast, we day tripped south to Murlough Beach one day and then hit the road for the north of Northern Ireland taking in both Game of Thrones filming sites and the Causeway Coastal route. We stayed in Bushmills with its close proximity to the Giant’s Causeway and stopped in Derry/Londonderry for lunch before crossing back into Ireland’s Donegal county.
