We spent a week in the highlands of Scotland. Under the near constant threat of rain, we, nevertheless, loved our visit. And despite having lived in or near the mountains for most of our lives, there really isn’t anything else much like the Scottish Highlands that we’ve experienced.
We stayed in between Fort William and Fort Augustus which was a great spot, albeit very very remote, for exploring in all directions. Sheep, horses and cows were our constant companions wherever we went, and we are still enthralled with the highland cow.
