Illinois

Admittedly, this page has very limited intel on the Land of Lincoln at this point. In fact, we have traveled only to Chicago together (aside from our stopover in Galena which you can read about below). We do love the windy city and have shared our experiences to date in this post.

We have also visited Galena in the northwest part of Illinois. We’d read about it on a few lists of “best places to visit in every state” and, frankly, we were a bit underwhelmed. However, if you’re in the area, the Ulysses S. Grant home is worth a visit.
