Southwest England

When in Southwest England in the summer of 2023, we explored the interior areas of Wiltshire and Devon Counties, visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral and the area of Dartmoor National Park. We also dipped into Oxfordshire County for a brief visit to the Downtown Abbey mansion.

We made it west all the way to Penzance, where we spent a weekend and then doubled back to Bath in Somerset County.

And finally, after traveling north into Scotland and then back down through Wales, we returned to Southwest England for a final stop, and one of our very favorite ones of the whole trip, in the Cotswolds.

Other parts of Southwest England were some of our favorite places we visited too: Dartmoor Park is stunningly beautiful, Stonehenge is fascinatingly interesting, and Bath is a place we’d like to return, as the stomach bug kept us from enjoying much if it this time.
