Veneto

We’ve visited Veneto, and Venice, three times together. The first was on one of our earliest international trips together before this blog existed and was part of a north to south two-week vacation in Italy which began in Venice.

The second was in 2022 when we ended our two-month trip around Italy from north to south and back to the north again in Venice. During this trip, we stayed in the Santa Croce neighborhood, explored the off-the-beaten path areas of Venice, took a “Secrets of Venice” walking tour and also visited Burano island.

In 2025 we returned at the end of our trip to Paris and tour of Greece to revisit what has become one of our very favorite places in the world. During this trip, we stayed in the Castello neighborhood, wandered the parks and neighborhoods on the eastern end of Venice and took a guided tour of the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica.
