We’ve been to Canada together a few times, most of them to Montreal or Quebec City in our pre-blog-lives. However, now that we are out on our world tour, we needed to visit again, and expand our horizons.
In 2023, on our eastward road trip through the northern USA, we made a stop at Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario and checked out Niagara Falls. In 2024, we moved from east to west with visits to the Atlantic Provinces, the cities in Quebec Province and made several stops in Ontario.
Eastern Provinces: In Nova Scotia, we made four stops: near Digby we stayed in Smiths Cove, on an island near Port Medway, made a brief visit to the Citadel in Halifax and spent several days on Cape Breton Island. From Nova Scotia, we moved north to Prince Edward Island and then traveled down and then up through New Brunswick.
Quebec Province. In Quebec, we returned to Montreal and Quebec City.
Ontario. And in Ontario, we visited Ottawa, several towns down the St. Lawrence and returned to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Other than the freezing winters in the north and east, Canada is a place we love and plan to return many times.
